Ingredients
- Container of candle wax 4130
- 10 ml of Citronella essential oil
- 50 gr Candle tin 5 pieces
- ECO 24/12 candle wick
- Thermometer
- Plastic pouring jug/measurement cup
- Wick glue stickers
- Digital scale
Method
- Measure out 250 gr container of candle wax to fill five 50 gr candle tins.
- Place container of candle wax in a small saucepan and heat the wax to 85°C.
- Remove a wick sticker from the paper sheet and place it on the bottom tab of an ECO wick. Then center the bottom tab of the wick in the 50 gr candle tin. Repeat for the remaining four candle tins.
- When the temperature of the wax mixture reaches 85°C, add the citronella fragrance oil. Stir well for 2 minutes. Insert a glass thermometer to check the temperature of the wax. Allow the scented wax to cool to 70°C.
- Once the wax has cooled to 70°C, carefully pour the wax mixture up to the relief ring of each candle tin. If necessary, use a centering tool to center the wick in each tin and let the candles cool overnight at room temperature.
Allow the candles to cool slowly and evenly to prevent cracking on the surface of the candles. We recommend cooling the candles in a room with a constant temperature of (72°-75°C) that is free of drafts.
